North Korea tested new ICBM Hwasong 19






Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, ordered the test launch of the newest type of intercontinental missiles. The ballistic missile "Hwasong Artillery-19" was tested on October 31. Kim Jong Un went to the missile test site and personally observed the test firing.

In the test firing carried out in the East Sea Hwasong 19 missile, which was stated to have successfully passed the tests by the North Korean media, rose to a maximum peak altitude of 7,687.5 km, flew a distance of 1,001.2 km for 5,156 seconds and landed in the planned target area in the high seas of Korea's East Sea.
