How Powerful Arrow Anti Ballistic Missile System
Israel's Arrow Anti-Ballistic Missile System is designed jointly with the United States. It was put into service in 2000 after the development studies and testing phases that started in 1986.
The Arrow missile family, thought to be among the best air defense systems in the world, includes different variants. The missile system (Arrow 1, Arrow 2, Arrow3), which has an active radar seeker and can reach a serious speed of Mach 9, has a unit cost of 3 million dollars.
The Israeli army uses the Arrow-2 missile system in operations, and Arrow-3, the architectural work of which started in 2006-2007, has been tested since 2017. Arrow 3 is considered Israel's most advanced missile defense system.
